The NVIDIA Corporation supports the research on deep learning conducted by the Networked Multimedia Information Systems laboratory of ISTI-CNR. On June 2016, the NVIDIA’s Academic Programs Team, dedicated to empowering and collaborating with professors and researchers at universities worldwide, accepted the grant request presented by Dr. Fabrizio Falchi. NVIDIA donated a Tesla K40 GPU that will be used for ongoing research on deep learning, a branch of machine learning that focuses on representation-learning methods composed of multiple levels of non-linear modules.
